World ocean power resources. Algas as an energy source.

In the algal biomass, being at ocean, the energy large quantity consists. It is supposed to use for processing on fuel both neritic seaweed, and a phytoplankton. As the basic methods of processing are considered an attenuation of carbohydrates of seaweed in spirits and fermentation of considerable quantities of seaweed without access of air for methane effecting. The technology of processing of a phytoplankton is developed for effecting of liquid fuel also. This technology is supposed to be combined with exploitation of ocean thermal power stations. The warmed-up which juvenile waters will provide process of delution of a phytoplankton by heat and nutrients.

Complex "Biosolar"

In the complex project "Biosolar" possibility of continuous delution microseaweed a chlorella in the special containers floating on a surface of an open reservoir is proved. The complex includes system of the floating containers bound by flexible pipelines on a shore or a sea platform the equipment for processing of seaweed. The containers playing a role of propagators, represent flat cellular floats from the reinforced polyethylene, open from above for air and sunlight access. They are bound by pipelines to an elutriator and a regenerator. In an elutriator the part of production for synthesis is pumped out, and from a regenerator in containers nutrients - the residual from anaerobic processing in the methane-tank arrive. Biogas received in it contains methane and carbon dioxide.

Absolutely exotic projects are offered also. In one of them possibility of installation of power station directly on an iceberg is considered, for example. A cold necessary for operation of station, it is possible to receive from ice, and the received energy is used for removal of a huge block of the refrigerated fresh water in those places of globe where it is not enough of it, for example in the countries of the Near East.

Other scientists suggest to use the received energy for the organisation of the sea bracing frames effecting food stuffs.
