World ocean power resources. Wind power.

Wind power use has centuries-old history. The idea of transformation of a wind power in the electrical has arisen in the end of XIX century

In the USSR the first wind power station (WPS) of 100 kw has been constructed by power in 1931 at the city of Yalta in Crimea. Then it was the largest WPS in the world. The mid-annual development of station compounded 270 MWh. In 1942 the station has been blasted.

In an energy crisis of 70th interest to energy use has increased. Mining WPS both for a coastal area, and for midocean has begun. Ocean WPS are capable to develop energy more than had on a land, as winds over ocean stronger and constant.

Building WPS of low power (from hundreds watt to tens watt) for power supply of seaside settlements, beacons, seawater desalters is considered favourable at mid-annual speed of a wind of 3,5-4 km/s. Erection WPS of the big power (from hundreds watt to hundreds megawatt) for transfer of the electric power to a country power supply system is justified there where mid-annual speed of a wind exceeds 5,5-6 km/s. (Power which can be received with 1 sq. m of cross-section of an airflow, is proportional to speed of a wind in the third degree). So, in Denmark - with one of the leading countries of the world in the field of wind energetics reacts already about 2500 wind installations by the general power of 200 megawatts.

At Pacific coast USA in California where speed of a wind of 13 km/s also is more observed throughout more 5 thousand hours in a year, some thousand wind installations of the big power work already. WPS various power Italy, China, Russia and other countries react in Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden.

In connection with inconstancy of a wind on speed and a direction the big attention is given to building of a wind of the installations working with other energy sources. Energy large ocean WPS is supposed to be used by effecting of hydrogen from ocean water or at mining operations from an ocean floor.

In the end of XIX century the wind electric motor was used Nansen on a vessel "Fram" for maintenance of participants of polar expedition with light and heat during drift in ices.

In Denmark on peninsula Jutland in bay Ebelsoft since 1985 sixteen react WPS with power of 55 kw everyone and one WPS power of 100 kw. Annually they develop 2800-3000 MWh.

There is a project of the neritic power station using a wind power and a surf simultaneously.
