World ocean power resources. Mineral resources.
The ocean is a source of rich mineral resources. They are divided into the chemical elements solved in water, the minerals containing under a seabed, both in continental shelfs, and behind their limens; minerals on a bottom surface. More than 90 % of a total cost of mineral raw materials give oil and gas.
The general oil and gas area within a shelf estimates in 13 million sq. km (about l/2 of its area).
The largest areas of an oil recovery and gas from a seabed - the Persian and Mexican bays. There is begun a trade gas production and oil with a bottom of the North Sea.
The shelf is rich also with the surface long fallows introduced by numerous scatterings at the bottom, keeping metal ores, and as nonmetallic minerals.
On the extensive areas of ocean rich long fallows of iron-manganese nodules - the original multicomponent ores containing as nickel, cobalt, copper are discovered, etc. At the same time researches allow to count on discovery of large long fallows of various metals in the concrete soils which are lying down under an ocean floor.
