Aluminium natural compounds

The major natural compounds of aluminium

Kaolinite

Al2O3;2SiO2;2H2O

Kaolinite - a mineral of a subclass of laminar silicates, a main constituent white, the fireproof, and porcelain clay. Routinely is a weathering yield. Has two polymorphic modifications - a dickite and a nacrite. The kaolinite is strongly hygroscopic.

Bauxites

Al2O3;nH2O

Bauxites it is sedimentary aluminium ores. Contain a harmful addition - SiO2. Bauxites serve as the relevant raw for aluminium reception, and also paints, abradants and refractories.

Emery

Al2O3

Emery belongs to the class some simpl oxides, and sometimes forms the transparent precious crystals - sapphire, and, with attachment of chrome, ruby. It is accumulated in stream gravels. In the core it is used as abrasive. Its admixture with a magnetic iron ore, haematite, and a spinel term as the emery. Synthetic emery with various additives gain commercially for a quantum electronics, hourly, jeweller and other industry.

Nepheline

Na2O;Al2O;2SiO2

Mineral - grey, reddish and other crystals with the characteristic fat luster. A main mineral of alkaline igneous rocks. It is used as raw for extraction of aluminium with passing reception of soda.

Feldspar or orthoclase

K2O;Al2O3;6SiO2

Potash feldspar. White, grey, pink, etc. One of main constituents of granite, gneisses, and other igneous and metamorphic mucks. Raw glass and a ceramic industry.
